The Gordie Howe Classic is a Strat-o-matic hockey league. The league originally started as a board game league . Lineups were mailed out via snail mail, and owners would go to their postal boxes to receive stats, lineups, etc. Each year we would all gather for the draft. One ring and a hang up, meant it was your turn to draft. You call draft central, get all the picks , and then you make your pick. I believe the original owners were Mike Swain and Don Miron, who are still with us. With the internet the league has become a computer hockey league. You can order the game at http://www.strat-o-matic.com.
