Vancouver results

Vancouver squeezes in 5 games between trips to the local ski resort, as 4 feet of fresh powder have fallen in the last 3 weeks.  Alas, the skiing is better than the hockey as the Canucks have their worst home block of the year, going 2-2-1.
Vegas  4    Vancouver  5
Vancouver comes out of the gate fast, scoring four first period goals (including two PPG by Galchenyuk) and Murray is pulled only 16 minutes into the game.  But in the second period Vegas roars back with three goals of their own.  Jenner adds an insurance goal late in the second period for Vancouver and its 5-3 after two periods.  That insurance goal comes in handy as Lindholm scores halfway through the third period, but the GKs can’t get the tying goal and the Canucks hang on for the one goal win.
New York  2    Vancouver  1
In a defensive struggle of a game, Sheary gets a PPG in the first period and Gaudreau ties it with a PPG of his own early in the third period.  It feels like a game destined to go into OT, but Chiarot scores only his second goal of the season on a breakaway with less than four minutes to go and the Isles escape with 2 points in their pocket.
Tampa Bay  3    Vancouver  2   SO
The game starts out a defensive struggle again, but Nylander scores in the second period and Marner early in the third and the Bolts are up 2-0.  Vancouver makes a good comeback, tying it up 2-2 after regulation on goals by Eakin and Gaudreau.  But in the shootout Tampa Bay goes 2 for 3 (Aho and Laine) and Vancouver 1 for 3 (Gaudreau) and the comeback only nets the Canucks one point.
Minnesota  0   Vancouver  3
With Bishop beginning to look a little bit like Carey Price of the Blues, playing below the strength of his card, he comes to life and makes 26 saves, although only 4 GRs, for the easy shutout victory.
Colorado  4    Vancouver  1
After a scoreless first period, Colorado racks up four second period goals and suddenly Bishop looks much worse than his league best card and can’t even finish the game.  Maybe he is another Carey Price. Meanwhile, Josi scores a third period SHG to ruin Campbell’s shutout bid in a strong game for him.
