Dallas at St.Louis Block 5

Blues looked at this lineup coming into town and thought oh my….. This team and San Jose have an impressive set of dmen and forwards … they could be on a collision course to the GHC Finals . In lieu of that potent lineup the Blues decided to get very greasy. Dressed for this game were Zadorov and Brendan Lemieux. Kyle Connor gets put to the fourth line for his weak physical play, and in Blues tradition of playing every player for one game, Kyle Turris made his Blues debut. The Zadorov insert looked good when he had two goalie ratings, but Bobrovsky stopped both.

Goaltending was a real key in this one as Bobrovsky was terrific stopping 38/40 stops , (8/9 goalie ratings) and Carey Price was his usual 50% on goalie ratings this year. The game was very tight and close until the start of the third period when the Stars rattled off eight consecutive shots from Lose puck-breakway, lose puck outside shot , etc…. Those turnovers cost the Blues dearly as they scored three goals in five minutes to pull away from St.Louis and ended up beating the Blues 5-2. Blues powerplay let them down this game going 0/4.

GAME STORY
