Stars take 4 of 5 over Holiday’s , visitors greeted with a Bah Humbug !

Tampa Bay- Stars score 4 times in the middle period, capped by a Mike Hoffman PPG that made it 5-1 as the fans flocked to the concession stands for some holiday cheer! Bolts Anze Kopitar made it 5-2 just as the buzzer sounded to end period two! After a video review, it was determined to be a Good Goal! A wild 3rd period saw Sebastien Aho score twice for the “Hat Trick” , but the comeback bid fell just short in a 6-5 Final!

St Louis- Stars 6-game Home Winning streak ends, as Blues have Power-Play Practice in a 5-2 Score! Dallas went short-handed 7 times in this game & the Blues scored two PPG’s while firing 43 shots(16 ratings-ouch)at Jaroslav Halak! Coach Dale Hunter cried” We took way too many dumb penalties & left Jaro out to dry, he (Halak) was really good for how bad we were”.

Vancouver- Nucks took an early 2-0 lead as they continued to talk about taking the Stars out in first round of playoffs last year! Coach Hunter barked at his team to remind them of the early exit last spring, this seemed to spark Dallas as they scored the next three Goals to take a 3-2 lead after 20 minutes! Viktor Arvidsson ripped his 2nd of the game & the Canucks Connor Murphy found the net & it was 4-3 Dallas after 40 minutes! A big roar went up with less than 3 minutes to play when Brayden Point slammed home a rebound for a 5-3 Final Score! The Nucks Tuukka Rask(who saw 13 ratings) wasnt happy with the officials when he took a penalty in the 3rd period for roughing Brad Marchand, Tuukka claimed that Marchand took a dive & flopped like a fish outta water! All Marchand could do was Grin!

New York I- Stars took a 4-2 lead into the 3rd as Brayden Point scored twice! Earlier in the game, Rookie Brady Tkachuk dropped the gloves with Heavyweight Tom Wilson,who got the decision in this 1st period fight! Patrice Bergeron put up his 15th of the season to cut score to 4-3 early in the 3rd period & they had a late PP chance to tie game, but Stars kill that penalty & hang on for the one Goal Win!

Vegas- The Knights Matt Murray & Sergei Bobrovsky were locked in a 1-1 game thru 40 minutes! With just over 6 minutes to play, Brad Marchand threw a puck(outside rating)threw traffic that eluded Murray for a 2-1 lead! Time winding down & the Golden Knights momentum burst ,as a late penalty to Ekblad ended any hopes of a comeback! Coach Hunter ” We will have to send the refs a gift card & thank them, Stars were never Short-Handed in this contest”
