Karlsson, Muzzin & Marchand all had the flu & were at home watching as the Stars jumped all over the Isle in period one, scoring 4 times, two by Jordan Stall, sending Dubynk to an early exit! SAN JOSE- Tyler Seguin’s 2nd Goal of the game,late in period two on the Power-Play, gave the Sharks a 2-1 lead into the 3rd! Mike Hoffman tied it just past the midpoint & the teams traded chances, but Mike Smith & Sergei Bobrovsky would get this game to Overtime! On the opening face-off of OT, Rasmus Ristolainen took a tripping penalty & for the first time in 9 Overtime games this season, No Shootout, as Mike Hoffman buries a PPG for the Stars 1st OT Win of the year!

COLORADO- They say the 3rd time is a charm, not this time! Dallas took a 1-0 lead into the 3rd as Pekka Rinne made doorstep stops(J T Miller 1-9 & Kesler 1-8) earlier in game to keep Av’s close! In the 3rd, 2017 1st Overall Draft Pick Auston Matthews took over, scoring just 29 seconds in & adding two assists in a 3-1 Win, snapping the Stars 5-game Home winning streak! It was the Stars 3rd loss at home(No charm here) to the Avalanche this season, going 0/3 vs the Matthews led team! Coach Hunter postgame “We played a decent game, too bad the Zebra’s didnt answer their voicemail, They missed a few calls”
