Dallas block 6

BOSTON-   Evgeni Malkin ties game at 4 late in period 3 & this one heads to Overtime!  Stars get a 4 on 3 PP chance in OT & Brayden Point(1-14)thinks he’s won it, but noooo…..Markstrom stones him!  To the Shootout we go where Dallas scores 3 times to extend it to another round, but they had no answer in the 7th round after veteran Thomas Vanek roofed the Winner!


NEW JERSEY-  Jordan Stall scores twice in period two & Stars head to the last 20 minutes with a 4-2 lead!  Vladislav Namestinkov scored early for the Devils as they try to beat Dallas for the 2nd time this year(Devils won earlier meeting 2-1)!  Namestinkov then took consecutive penalties on his shifts, & on his 2nd trip to the box, Josh Bailey knocked it home to give Dallas a 5-3 lead, which was the Final score, halting a 3 game Home losing streak!
LOS ANGELES-  The Stars, who lost 3-2 to the Kings earlier this season, fell behind early as Nick Bjugstad scored the lone Goal in period one!  “Big Buff” got a little rambunctious running around & throwing elbows & cross-checks & ended up getting 3 minor penalties, to which the Stars used to their advantage!  Nick Backstrom scored in the 2nd & Viktor Arvidsson in the 3rd to break a 1-1 tie!  Mike Hoffman would add an insurance marker, as Bobrovsky would take 1st Star in a 3-1 Final!
VANCOUVER-  The “Ghost” scored early in the 3rd period on the Power-Play & the Nucks led 4-1!  The visiting bench was all about high-fives & chuckles as they knew the Stars were without Marchand,Muzzin,& Kesler  & that back-up Goalie James Reimer had just thrown a fit, screaming at his defense pair of Brooks Orpik & Joe Morrow, saying “I’m tired of fishing the puck outta my net, block something, hit something”    Denis Malgin,who scored the 1st Goal took a penalty halfway thru the last period & Cam Atkinson gave Dallas hope as he cut margin to 4-2!  With 6 minutes left, Brayden Point scored & all of a sudden it’s a one-goal game! Mike Hoffman had a last second chance,but sent it wide & “Nucks” are High=Fiving again!
LAS VEGAS-  With the Trade Deadline looming, trade rumors were in the air, as Dallas had Jacob Silfverberg as a healthy scratch! The trade winds didnt seem to bother Dallas as they shot out to a 3-0 lead early in period two!  Rookie Tyler Bertuzzi, who took Silfverberg’s spot in the line-up, Scored his 1st Career GHC Goal playing on the 4th line!  Joel Eriksson Ek got Vegas on board halfway thru period two & it’s 3-1 into the 3rd!  The Stars played the 3rd period mostly in their end getting outshot 20-1, but thank our Lucky Stars, the Knights could only score once, that by Rookie Mathew Barzal & Dallas hangs on for the 3-2 Win!   Post-Game GM Steve Yzerman announced a trade “We made a deal to shore up our defense, as evident by our showing today in that 3rd period, We sent Jacob Silfverberg to the Knights in exchange for defenseman Josh Manson!  We wish Jacob all the luck in Vegas, he had some good years here!
