Toronto 3, Dallas 0

On their home ice Toronto had an easy win over Dallas by a score of 3
to 0. Toronto scored 3 goals in the second period. The first goal was
the winner as SVEN BAERTSCHI scored 3:47 of the 2nd period. FREDERIK
ANDERSEN was outstanding in goal. He stopped everything thrown his way
for the shutout while facing 25 shots. Other goal scorers were JAMES van
RIEMSDYK and PATRIC HORNQVIST for Toronto.


Toronto 3, Vancouver 2

On their home ice Toronto won by one goal over Vancouver by the score
of 3 to 2. Toronto finished with a flurry scoring 3 times in the third
period. SVEN BAERTSCHI netted the last goal, the game winner, at 19:11
of the 3rd period. BAERTSCHI scored twice for Toronto. Other goal scorers
were HENRIK SEDIN and DAVID KREJCI for Vancouver and SIDNEY CROSBY for Toronto.


Toronto 5, St. Louis 4 (SO)

In their home arena Toronto won a shootout against St. Louis by a final
tally of 5 to 4. The shootout’s game deciding goal was recorded by CLAUDE
GIROUX. Toronto was 1 for 5 in shootout attempts, while St. Louis went
0 for 5. BRENT BURNS scored one goal and contributed two assists for
St. Louis. And MIKAEL BACKLUND had a goal and added two assists for
Toronto. Also SVEN BAERTSCHI had two goals and added one assist. Other
goal scorers were NICK FOLIGNO, RICK NASH and MATTHEW TKACHUK for St.
Louis and JAMES van RIEMSDYK for Toronto.


Toronto 2, Islanders 1 (SO)

In front of a cheering crowd Toronto needed a shootout to beat New York
by the score of 2 to 1. The shootout’s game deciding goal was made by
JAMES van RIEMSDYK. Toronto was 2 for 2 in shootout attempts, while New
York went 1 for 3. FREDERIK ANDERSEN was outstanding in goal. He allowed
just one goal while facing 29 shots. Goal scorers were ALEX STEEN for
New York and PATRIC HORNQVIST for Toronto.


Toronto 5, San Jose 1

In front of a cheering crowd Toronto had no difficulty defeating San Jose
by a score of 5 to 1. San Jose was unable to get their power play going
and finished 0 for 5 with the extra man. Toronto scored 4 goals in the
second period. SIDNEY CROSBY found the net twice on 7 shots for Toronto.
And RYAN McDONAGH contributed three assists. FREDERIK ANDERSEN was outstanding
in goal. He gave up just a lone goal while facing 28 shots. Others who
scored were TYLER SEGUIN for San Jose and CLAUDE GIROUX, JUSTIN WILLIAMS
and JASON CHIMERA for Toronto.
