2-3-0 at home is not what I was hoping for.

Leafs 4, Blues 3 (OT)

In their home arena Toronto won a close one against St. Louis by a final
tally of 4 to 3. PATRIC HORNQVIST netted the last goal, the game winner,
at 4:17 of overtime. Other goal scorers were RICK NASH, MIKAEL GRANLUND
and EVGENY KUZNETSOV for St. Louis and DEVIN SHORE, RADIM VRBATA and SVEN
BAERTSCHI for Toronto.


Islanders 3, Leafs 2

In a strong showing away from home, New York won by one goal over Toronto
by a final tally of 3 to 2. ANDREW SHAW scored the game winner at 5:34
of the 3rd period. Others who scored were MIKE FISHER and MICHAEL GRABNER
for New York and SIDNEY CROSBY and JUSTIN WILLIAMS for Toronto. With
the road victory New York has now recorded 36 wins and 76 points for the season.


Sharks 6, Leafs 3

In a strong showing away from home, San Jose had no difficulty defeating
Toronto by the final tally of 6 to 3. San Jose quieted the crowd early,
scoring 3 times in the first period. JADEN SCHWARTZ scored twice and
added one assist for San Jose. And RASMUS RISTOLAINEN found the net twice,
once while shorthanded, and passed for one assist. Others who scored were
NAZEM KADRI and TEUVO TERAVAINEN for San Jose and SIDNEY CROSBY, MIKAEL
BACKLUND and DEVIN SHORE for Toronto.


Leafs 3, Hawks 0

In their home arena Toronto had no difficulty defeating Chicago by a score
of 3 to 0. The first goal was enough as MIKAEL BACKLUND found the back
of the net at 3:18 of the 1st period. BACKLUND scored once on 6 shots
and added two assists for Toronto. JAKE ALLEN was outstanding in goal.
He stopped everything thrown his way for the shutout while facing 27 shots.
Others who scored were SVEN BAERTSCHI and BRENT SEABROOK for Toronto.


Kings 1, Leafs 0

In a strong showing away from home, Los Angeles won a close one against
Toronto by the final score of 1 to 0. The defense for both squads was
stout as the offenses struggled the entire game. ALEX OVECHKIN scored
the lone goal at 9:43 of the 1st period. MARTIN JONES was outstanding
in goal. He recorded the shutout while facing 32 shots.
