Flyers at the Blues

Shea Theodore makes his St.Louis debut on this night as the Blues take on the Flyers. The story of the game seems to be goaltending. Corey Crawford stops 5/6 goalie ratings and Andrei Vasilevskiy stops just 1 of 3 as the Flyers score a goal with just 4:16 left in the game to tie it , and then Jeff Skinner scores on a breakaway after a giveaway by Eric Staal in OT and the Flyers pull off a come from behind win. Theodore played nine minutes in his Blues first start and received first powerplay minutes, but was held off the scoresheet.

GAME STORY
The visitors from Philadelphia squeezed out a victory over St. Louis
by the final score of 2 to 1. JEFF SKINNER closed out the scoring with
the game winner at 0:28 of overtime. COREY CRAWFORD was outstanding in
goal. He allowed just one goal while facing 29 shots. Others who scored
were ELIAS LINDHOLM for Philadelphia and MILAN LUCIC for St. Louis.

Minnesota at St.Louis

This game saw the debut of Kyle Connor and Julius Honka for the Blues. But the story was Mike Condon. The former teammate of Carey Price played like Carey Price stopping all 12 goalie ratings. This game had the feel of a Strat Gods against the Blues night. Blues outshoot the Wild 18-9 in the first and dont score on a 1-16. Condon stops all six goalie ratings in the first and it was “oh no… it is going to be one of those games” When Ryan Suter scored on an outside shot roll of a 12, the Blues felt impending doom. But The powerplay got St.Louis back in the game as it scored twice, the second being the game winner. Robby FAbbri had the game winner midway through the period as the Blues eeek out a win. Julius HOnka picked up an assist in his Blues debut.

Winnipeg at St.Louis

The Blues like to work all their players into a game and with just a few blocks left it was time to start getting every player their one start.
Inserting into tonight’s lineup for their first games of the year were Connor Hellebuyck and Adrian Kempe. Kempe shines as he gets two goalie ratings and scores on one of them to surprise the Blues. Hellebuyck was a little shaky for two periods and them got the heave ho after letting in 3 goals on 17 shots. VAsilevskiy steps in for the third period and picks up the victory as Mark Scheifele scores with just 9 seconds left in over time to give the Blues the win. Alex Pietrangelo had three assists for the Blues and Kuznetsov had two helpers.
