Winnipeg 4, Toronto 1

In a strong showing away from home, Winnipeg easily handled Toronto by
a score of 4 to 1. Toronto was unable to get their power play going and
finished 0 for 5 with the extra man. JOE PAVELSKI had two goals and
added one assist for Winnipeg. JOHN GIBSON was outstanding in goal.
He gave up just a lone goal while facing 35 shots. Others who scored were
CHRIS KREIDER and ANDREW LADD for Winnipeg and BRYAN LITTLE for Toronto.


Dallas 4, Toronto 3 (SO)

The visitors from Dallas prevailed in a shootout over Toronto by the score
of 4 to 3. The shootout’s game deciding goal was scored by MIKE HOFFMAN.
Dallas was 2 for 3 in shootout attempts, while Toronto went 1 for 3.
The goals were scored by CAM ATKINSON, ERIK KARLSSON and ANDREI MARKOV
for Dallas and MIKAEL BACKLUND, PATRIC HORNQVIST and JASON CHIMERA for Toronto.


Toronto 9, Vancouver 3

In front of a cheering crowd Toronto pounded Vancouver by the final tally
of 9 to 3. Toronto got going early, scoring 3 times in the first period.
EVANDER KANE had a goal on 6 shots and added two assists for Toronto.
And CLAUDE GIROUX found the net twice and contributed one assist. Other
goal scorers were TYLER JOHNSON, KYLE PALMIERI and HENRIK SEDIN for Vancouver
and SIDNEY CROSBY, JAMES van RIEMSDYK, JUSTIN WILLIAMS, RADIM VRBATA,
SVEN BAERTSCHI and BRYAN LITTLE for Toronto.


Toronto 3, Philadelphia 2

On their home ice Toronto squeezed out a victory over Philadelphia by
the score of 3 to 2. Goals were registered by SAM GAGNER and AARON EKBLAD
for Philadelphia and EVANDER KANE, REILLY SMITH and JASON CHIMERA for
Toronto. With the victory Toronto now has 10 wins and 24 points on the season.


Toronto 4, Minnesota 3 (SO)

In their home arena Toronto prevailed in a shootout over Minnesota by
the score of 4 to 3. The shootout’s game deciding goal was made by BRYAN
LITTLE. Toronto was 2 for 2 in shootout attempts, while Minnesota went
1 for 3. Toronto poured on the pressure outshooting Minnesota 44 to 22.
ANDREJ SEKERA scored twice for Minnesota. Others who scored were JOSH
ANDERSON for Minnesota and JUSTIN WILLIAMS, PATRIC HORNQVIST and RYAN
McDONAGH for Toronto.
