In their home arena Toronto won by one goal over Philadelphia by the score
of 2 to 1.  SCOTT HARTNELL scored the game’s final goal at 15:15 of the
3rd period.  JAKE ALLEN was outstanding in goal.  He gave up just a lone
goal while facing 32 shots. Others registering goals were JAMES NEAL for
Philadelphia and RYAN McDONAGH for Toronto.

In a strong showing away from home, Los Angeles prevailed in a shootout
over Toronto by the final score of 6 to 5.  The shootout’s game deciding
goal was scored by MIKA ZIBANEJAD.  Los Angeles was 3 for 6 in shootout
attempts, while Toronto went 2 for 6.  Los Angeles scored 3 goals in the
second period.   PATRICK KANE found the net twice on 7 shots and contributed
one assist for Los Angeles.  And SEAN COUTURIER had a goal and passed
for two assists.  Also SIDNEY CROSBY had a goal on 6 shots and passed
for four assists for Toronto.  JAMES van RIEMSDYK found the net twice
on 6 shots and passed for three assists. Other goal scorers were CRAIG
SMITH and DAVID SAVARD for Los Angeles and PATRIC HORNQVIST and BRENT
SEABROOK for Toronto.

In their home arena Toronto squeezed out a victory over Boston by the
score of 2 to 1.   JAKE ALLEN was outstanding in goal.  He gave up just
a lone goal while facing 27 shots. Goal scorers were JAMIE BENN for Boston
and SIDNEY CROSBY and BRENT SEABROOK for Toronto.  With the victory Toronto
now has 4 wins and 10 points on the season.

In their home arena Toronto won by one goal over Vancouver by the score
of 3 to 2.  Toronto was relentless outshooting Vancouver 48 to 24.   Goals
were registered by BOONE JENNER and DANIEL SEDIN for Vancouver and JAMIE
McGINN, MIKAEL BACKLUND and EVANDER KANE for Toronto.  With the victory
Toronto now has 5 wins and 13 points on the season.
