Did not think the absense of Nash and Ekman-Larsson would have a big impact on this team but seems to sure have. Again the Blues get hammered shot wise as the CAnucks totally dominated the first and the third periods. Daniel Sedin opened the scoring just 58 seconds into the game. But the Blues came back and scored four unanswered goals. First it was Filip Forsberg, then Nick Foligno and Brent Sutter , in just his second game, puts in his fourth of the year before the period ends. Mark Scheifele then scored midway though the second and the Blues had a 4-1 lead. But the Vancouver CAnucks never said die. First Kyle Palmeiri then Loui Eriksson score and with 19 minutes to play it is a one goal game. But Connor Hellybuyck closed the door and the Blues luckily eke out a 4-3 win despite being outshot. Odd stat, the Blues had 7 goalie ratings to the Canucks 5.

This was a game the Blues had no business winning. The Jets dominated from start to finish and not sure how the home team pulled this out. A late powerplay goal by Mark Scheifele was the game winner as the Jets outshot the Blues in each period. Blues could not pass or penetrate all night long. EAch time they turned it over until they just started taking outside shots out of frustration. The silly strategy seemed to play off as Nick Foligno on an outside shot tied it and Scheifele continued his fine year with the game winner. Only oddity were the goalie ratings which favoured the Blues 7-2.

The Blues were constantly battling back in this one but in the end, it was just not enough against a tough Stars squad. Dallas’s pest Brad Marchand, who stood out all night long, scored first on the power play to give the Stars a lead. But Mark Scheifele tied the game early in the second period on the powerplay. The Stars then got a second powerplay goal when Pavel Datsyk scored only to see Cam Atkinson score just two minutes later to extend the Stars lead to 3-1. But St.Louis scored with just 14 seconds left in the second period to make it 3-2 when Alex Pietrangelo scored. Mark Scheifele , gets his second of the game, just a minute later and the game was tied very early in the third. But the Stars battled back in this wide open affair when Brad Marchand scored again on the powerplay. But St.Louis got a powerplay goal on their own, just a minute later, as the Blues had again tied the game at 4-4. Nothing was decided in overtime and Stars got goals from Marchand and Backstrom in the shootout to win it. Rick Nash was the lone scorer in the shootout for the Blues.
